Some cars from Asian manufacturers like Hyundai or Kia require a different headlight bulb to vehicles made in the US or Europe.

For a low beam light in these vehicles, an H11B bulb is required. These aren’t common, and it’s challenging to know which ones are best,

I’ve been testing car headlight bulbs for over ten years, and I recommend upgrading from stock halogen H11Bs to LEDs.

I tested eight different H11B bulbs and narrowed it down to the three best and brightest.

I’ll also review a budget option and the brightest H11B LED.

I don’t own an Asian-made vehicle, I’m a Ford man, but I got my hands on a Hyundai Elantra to test these bulbs on.

Here are the best and brightest H11B LED headlight bulbs.

Alla Lighting H11B LED Headlight Bulb

OVERALL BEST
h11b headlight bulbs

My Top Choice

I’ve got to hand it to the Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs – they’ve become my favorite overall. Twice as bright as those stock halogens and with impressive heat retention, they really shine!

Real Talk Specs

One thing I appreciate about Alla Lighting is their honesty. They rarely pump up the capabilities of these H11B bulbs, which is a breath of fresh air when you consider the exaggerations you often find in the industry.

Their H11B LED headlight bulbs are reported to deliver 10,000 lumens, making them 200% brighter than your average halogens.

They’re engineered with high-illumination CREE LED Chips, kicking out further light than halogens, which I genuinely value.

I’ve always favored LEDs over halogens because of the Kelvin color. Those stock halogens have a yellowish hue at 3,000K. On the other hand, the 6,000K from the Alla Lighting H11B gives me a clearer view of objects and road signs because they’re white.

What keeps these bulbs cool is their make – the latest 6063 aviation aluminum technology, a heat sink design, and a built-in cooling fan.

They only eat up 60 watts per set in terms of power consumption, which is less than most competitors.

Alla Lighting also promises these H11B LEDs will last for 30,000 hours and they offer a 1-year warranty.

They hold an IP65 rating, meaning they’re water-resistant, not entirely waterproof. But, when I braved the heavy rain in my Hyundai, they didn’t disappoint.

My Personal Experience

I really dig Alla Lighting products – they consistently get it right.

As soon as I opened the box, I noticed the instruction manual. But, these bulbs fitted straight into my Hyundai without a hitch, so I didn’t even need the guide.

At first look, they’re pretty standard bulbs. Nothing screams out as unique or extraordinary; they just seem like top-quality bulbs.

The waterproof cable connecting the external driver is a neat feature. The driver is standard-sized, which could pose a problem for smaller fittings, but it wasn’t an issue for my Hyundai.

The bulbs also feature an adjustable collar, letting me aim the beam just right.

They looked like a sturdy set of headlight bulbs, and I was stoked to put them to the test.

My Tests

I follow the same procedure when testing all my headlight bulbs. I set up an LED meter 20 feet from the bulbs.

My goal was to compare these Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs to a stock halogen. The stock bulb scored 725 lux in the projector test and 910 lux in the reflector test.

In the projector test, the H11B LEDs hit 875 lux right off the bat. That’s 140 lux more than the halogens.

They dipped to 735 lux after 27 minutes, which is your average US commute time. This is 84%, indicating excellent heat retention.

These bulbs stay cool, meaning they’ll outlast the stock ones.

In the reflector test, the H11B LEDs started at 1,983 lux. That’s more than double the brightness of the halogens, and the first time I’ve seen results surpass the advertised specs. Well done, Alla Lighting!

After 27 minutes, they maintained 84% heat retention at 1,665 lux.

The H11B LED bulbs didn’t claim a ‘perfect beam pattern’, but they delivered one anyway! There were no discernible dark spots or shadows.

The 6,000 Kelvin whiteness was noticeable, and I appreciated the light blue tint on top of the white; it made the objects in front of me appear sharper compared to the standard stock bulbs.

I did find the downroad lighting slightly lacking compared to other bulbs, but it was still twice as effective as the stock halogens.

After 27 minutes, I observed 27.2 watts, pretty close to the advertised 30 watts.

The cooling system does its job! After 27 minutes, the main unit temperature was a mere 135°F, and the driver was at 122°F.

Feedback from Other Drivers

The overall rating for the Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs from drivers was 4.4/5.

Drivers raved about the easy installation and the plug-and-play nature of these bulbs. The brightness and whiteness were also key factors in the positive feedback.

A few customers mentioned that they don’t fit all car models, which is pretty standard for any headlight bulb. Always double-check the user guide before buying.

Wrapping It Up

The Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs are, without a doubt, my top choice overall. They’re bright, they bring objects into clear view, and they’ve got longevity thanks to the solid heat management.

VehiCode H11B LED Headlight Bulbs

BEST BUDGET
Image of Vehicode H11B headlight bulbs

Best Budget

If you’re, like me, trying to upgrade your ride on a budget, you might want to consider the VehiCode H11B LED Headlight bulbs. At less than $20 a set, they won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

Advertised Specifications

Let’s talk specs. The guys at VehiCode advertise these bulbs at 7,200 lumens a set, promising they’re ultra-bright. They don’t exactly mention how much brighter these are than your stock bulbs though.

Each of these bulbs holds 2 SMD-1860 LED chips – engineered to deliver a more focused and broader beam. The word is that they have a 90% beam accuracy. However, when I put them to the test, the results were a bit different.

Like the Alla Lighting H11B LEDs I tried earlier, these bulbs also emit a 6,000K white light. I could immediately spot the jump in clarity when compared to the stock halogens.

The bulbs come as an all-in-one unit with an inbuilt driver. VehiCode is clear that these bulbs aren’t CAN bus ready, and you’re gonna need a decoder. True enough, I had to grab one to stop my Hyundai’s dashboard from flashing up an error.

There isn’t much said about the cooling fan, only that it exists. Given they only pull 40 watts per set, I guess they wouldn’t get too hot anyway.

VehiCode mentions that these bulbs are good for 30,000 hours. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any warranty or IP rating details to back that up.

I had a chance to take them out for a spin during a thunderstorm and they didn’t even flinch.

My Observations

Opening the box, you’ll find an instruction manual and the bulbs. As they’re all-in-one units, you wouldn’t expect much else.

I was pretty chuffed with the silver and black finish; it makes them stand out from the pack. The material does feel a bit flimsy compared to the Alla Lighting ones, but that’s expected at this price point.

They’re quite compact; just 3 inches from top to bottom. The bonus of this is their ease of installation; they practically fell into place.

Also, the blue color of the adjustable collar caught my eye. It’s an unusual shade, adding a bit of flavor.

For the price, these are decent bulbs. But what about their performance?

My Tests

In my tests, they actually outperformed Alla’s H11B bulbs in terms of brightness.

Their initial reading in the projector test was a whopping 1,001 lux, making them 150% brighter than stock bulbs.

Heat retention on the VehiCode H11B LED bulbs was impressive. After 27 minutes, they dropped only 1% in brightness compared to the Alla Lighting H11Bs, clocking in at 832 lux.

For the reflector test, they lagged behind the Alla Lighting ones at 1,870 lux, but still impressive at 200% above stock halogens. After 27 minutes, they settled at 1,554 lux, still maintaining 83% brightness.

I was intrigued to see if their 90% beam pattern claim held up. It didn’t quite. I noticed a high cutoff and a low hotspot, with some scattering at the top and bottom left.

Impressively, the usual weak spot wasn’t as noticeable as with other bulbs – something they share with the Alla Lighting H11Bs.

After running for 27 minutes, the bulbs pulled 19.1 watts, pretty much on par with the advertised 20 watts. I love it when things add up.

The main unit’s temperature peaked at only 117°F, so the cooling fan, whatever it is, seems to be doing its job.

What Other Drivers Are Saying

From what I can see, the VehiCode H11B LED headlight bulbs are holding a decent 4.3/5 rating, even though there aren’t many reviews yet.

Other drivers confirmed my findings – these bulbs are twice as bright as stock ones, super easy to install, and great value for money.

A few did mention the CAN bus errors, but VehiCode warned us about this beforehand.

Summing it up

To sum it up, if you’re looking to upgrade your stock halogens without breaking the bank, the VehiCode H11B LED headlight bulbs are a great pick at under $20 a set.

Pros
  • Plug and play
  • 7,200 lumens/set
  • 6,000K Cool White
  • Best budget H11B LEDs
  • 30,000-hour lifespan
  • 60W per set
  • Built-in driver – not CAN bus ready
  • Built-in cooling fan
Cons
  • CAN bus errors in some vehicles

NAOEVO H11B LED Headlight Bulbs

OVERALL BRIGHTEST
h11b headlight bulbs

Brightest Bet for H11B LEDs

If you’re seeking the brightest H11B LEDs out there, you’ve got to go for the NAOEVO H11s, coupled with an H11B extension.

Advertised Specifications

NAOEVO boasts about their H11B LED headlight bulbs, promoting a brightness of 6,400 lumens per set. They claim these babies are super bright, shining 300% brighter than stock halogens. My tests showed that they weren’t just blowing smoke.

Each bulb carries a COB chip that’s adjustable 360°, which was really handy in aiming them just right.

They come with a Kelvin color slightly cooler than the Alla Lighting and VehiCode, at 6,500K. That tiny extra bit of clarity makes a noticeable difference.

The build reminded me of the Alla Lighting H11Bs, using the same aviation-grade 6063 aluminum profile. The unique aspect here is that these bulbs are all-in-one with a built-in driver.

These bulbs have an integrated 9,000 RPM cooling turbofan and consume 60 watts of power per set.

NAOEVO asserts these bulbs have a life span of 50,000 hours. However, I couldn’t find any warranty information.

The NAOEVO H11B LED headlight bulbs hold an IP68 waterproof rating — the highest you can get — and I had complete confidence when I took them out for a spin in the rain.

My Impressions

I’m a fan of the design of these bulbs. Sporting all black with a red collar and a hint of red at the tip, they looked sharp.

Handling them, I could feel they were made of quality materials and felt solid in my hands.

I appreciated the small detail of the NAOEVO name embossed on the base.

The key difference between the NAOEVO H11B LED bulbs and the Alla Lighting and VehiCode H11Bs is that these are actually H11 bulbs with an H11B extension cable.

This could pose a problem for vehicles with a smaller light fitting, given the extra bulk of the extension cable.

My Tests

These NAOEVO H11B LED bulbs shine brighter than the rest.

In the projector test, they started off at 1,303 lux. That’s almost double the stock halogens!

After 27 minutes, they showed the best heat retention of the three at 88%, maintaining 1,147 lux.

In the reflector test, the initial rating was a whopping 3,020 lux, validating NAOEVO’s 300% brightness claim. That’s a feature I can get behind. Even with heat retention, it stayed strong at 88%, landing at 2,658 lux.

The beam pattern was pretty good, showing a high cutoff. The familiar weak spot was more pronounced, and there was some slight scattering at the bottom left.

However, the big plus was that I could see far and wide, and objects were crystal clear in front of me, even during a rainy drive.

I noted 26.7 watts, which is near enough to the advertised 30 watts to pass muster.

What was surprising, though, was that despite the heat retention, the unit heated up to a hefty 187°F.

Driver Reviews

The NAOEVO H11B LED headlight bulbs have received a solid 4.4/5 stars from over 2,000 drivers.

The general agreement among users is that they offer superb brightness and a significantly clearer view than stock bulbs.

A few customers reported CAN bus flickering issues, but I didn’t experience that problem with my Hyundai.

The Verdict

For the brightest low-beam headlights, I recommend the NAOEVO H11B LED headlight bulbs. They live up to their promises and they really illuminate the road ahead.
