Philips H11 CrystalVision Ultra Halogen Headlight Bulbs

Overall Brightest

The CrystalVision Ultra by Philips is a bright and powerful bulb that offers improved visibility, evenly distributed beam pattern and a significantly cooler white color.

Philips bulb is plenty bright for general use, offering a more powerful beam than stock headlight bulbs. We found that this bulb is great for driving in less well-lit areas, where it aids visibility. The throw was longer, allowing the driver to see further down the road while the wider field of vision brought more of the road and its surroundings into view.

The CrystalVision also offers a whiter beam of light. Specifically, they are rated at 3460k, which is an 18% improvement over stock. It is cooler and has better clarity than OEM halogens. Beam pattern is uniform as well, doing away with dark spots while still being identical to the DOT approved specification. The cooler beam looks and performs well, helping visibility and adding style.

These bulbs consume significantly less power, allowing them to perform better for longer. In fact, they have one of the longest lifespans we have seen in halogens. Drivers report that they have been using the UltraVisions for months with no issues in performance or efficacy.

Pros
  • Bright halogen bulb
  • 3460k color
  • Best in class longevity

Voltage Automotive H11 Halogen Headlight Bulbs

Brightest Budget

If you’re on a budget, Voltage’s H11 halogen bulbs provide one of the brightest and most powerful beams of light at a more affordable cost than similarly performing options.

Bright and vibrant, the Voltage bulb is more than powerful enough for the majority of drivers, even if it isn’t the brightest bulb on this list. That said, we were pleasantly surprised by this bulb’s intense brightness, especially considering the price. It is powerful enough to outperform the stock halogens in terms of throw and coverage, which are both improved.

One area where we were met with some disappointment is the color of these bulbs. The color tone leans towards warm rather than cool or even standard white. However, it has superb clarity and distributes light evenly all over your path, eliminating dark spots. The beam is perfect for picking out and differentiating between various hurdles and obstacles in your path.

Finally, the longevity of these bulbs is also worth mentioning. The duration of our testing was not enough to see how these bulbs will perform long term, but other drivers report being satisfied with the lifespan. One person wrote inn saying they have had the Voltage bulbs installed for over six months and they are still working well, with no dips in performance or brightness.

Pros
  • Powerful throw
  • Wide field of view
  • Great longevity
  • DOT approved beam pattern
  • Brighter than stock
  • Improved visibility
  • More road coverage
  • Clear beam of light
  • Easy to install
  • Longer lasting
  • No dark spots
  • Maintains DOT approved light pattern
  • Cheapest option
Cons
  • Color tone is warmer than other options

Piaa Xtreme White H11 High Performance Halogen Bulbs

Brightest Premium

Piaa’s Xtreme White H11 halogens deliver substantially higher brightness than stock, cool white color, and a high quality build that ensures durability.

If you don’t mind the slightly higher price, Piaa’s Xtreme White bulbs are a great choice. They impressed us with their intense brightness and powerful beam. Visibility benefited quite a bit with the Piaas installed. The longer throw meant our path was well lit even further down the road. The wider road coverage brought more of our surroundings into view, allowing the driver to keep an eye out for wild animals that could come onto the road unexpectedly.

Besides being the brightest option on this list, the Piaas are also one of the whitest. They have a 4000k color temperature that adds a nice look to your car’s front end. It is not quite the ultra white we see in LEDs, but it is definitely an improvement over stock bulbs. Besides adding style, the cooler color also makes your sightlines clearer and is more reflective off of road signs, bumps, other cars, etc, accentuating the brightness.

These premium bulbs also feature a longer lifespan than stock. In fact, they are one of the most durable halogens on the market, outlasting the other options on this list by quite a margin. They consume less power than stock, meaning there is less chance of damage to the components. Our testing put a lot of load on the Piaas but they maintained performance throughout.

Pros
  • Intense brightness
  • 4000k color temperature
  • Longer lifespan
  • Efficient cooling
  • Brighter than stock
  • Attractive white color
  • Wide field of view
  • Longer throw
  • Better nighttime visibility
  • Easy to install
  • Longest lasting halogen
  • Improved front end look
  • No flickering
Cons
  • Priciest option
