Some cars from Asian manufacturers like Hyundai or Kia require a different headlight bulb to vehicles made in the US or Europe.
For a low beam light in these vehicles, an H11B bulb is required. These aren’t common, and it’s challenging to know which ones are best,
I’ve been testing car headlight bulbs for more than ten years, and I recommend upgrading from stock halogen H11Bs to LEDs.
I tested eight different H11B bulbs and narrowed it down to the three best and brightest.
The Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulb is my pick for the best overall.
I’ll also review a budget option and the brightest H11B LED.
I don’t own an Asian-made vehicle, I’m a Ford man, but I got my hands on a Hyundai Elantra to test these bulbs on.
Here are the best and brightest H11B LED headlight bulbs.
Alla Lighting H11B LED Headlight Bulb
OVERALL BEST

Overall Best
Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs are my pick for best overall. They’re double the brightness of stock halogens and have excellent heat retention.
Advertised Specifications
Alla Lighting is one of the best headlight companies at keeping it real. It rarely overstates what these H11B bulbs can do. I find this really refreshing compared to many others.
The Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs are advertised at 10,000 lumens and 200% brighter than stock halogens.
They’re made with high illumination CREE LED Chips which deliver further light output than halogens.
One of the reasons I prefer LEDs over halogens is the Kelvin color. The average stock halogen is 3,000K which is yellow. The 6,000K of the Alla Lighting H11B helped me to see objects and road signs more clearly as they’re white.
To keep the bulbs cool, they’re made from the newest technology, 6063 aviation aluminum, with a heat sink design and a built-in cooling fan.
Power consumption is only 60 watts per set, which is low compared to others.
Alla Lighting claims the H11B LEDs will last 30,000 hours and offers a 1-year warranty.
They’re rated at IP65, which means they’re water resistant, not waterproof. However, when I took the Hyundai out in heavy rain, there was no issue at all.
My Observations
I’m a fan of Alla Lighting products. This company just seems to get it right every time.
Inside the box, the first thing I saw was an instruction manual. These fitted straight into the Hyundai with zero effort, so I didn’t need to refer to it.
At first glance, these are standard-looking bulbs. There’s nothing that jumps out as being unique or different; they look and feel like good-quality bulbs.
What I do like is that the external driver is connected with a waterproof cable; that’s a nice touch. It’s also standard size, which may be an issue in some smaller fittings, but it wasn’t for the Hyundai.
It has an adjustable collar which allows me to aim the beam correctly.
These are a set of reliable-looking headlight bulbs, and I was excited to test them.
My Tests
All my headlight bulb testing is conducted the same. I position an LED meter 20 feet away from the bulb.
I aim to compare the Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulb to a stock halogen. The stock bulb has a rating of 725 lux in the projector test and 910 lux in the reflector test.
In the projector test, the Alla Lighting H11B LEDs gave me an initial rating of 875 lux. That’s 140 lux higher than the halogens.
After 27 minutes, which is the average commute time in the US, they dipped to 735 lux (the same as the halogen’s initial lux rating). This is 84% which means that heat retention is excellent.
These bulbs keep cool, which means they last longer than stock ones.
In the reflector test, the Alla Lighting H11B LEDs had an initial rating of 1,983 lux. That’s over twice as bright as the halogens and the first time I’ve seen test results better than the advertised specs. Nice work, Alla Lighting!
After 27 minutes, they maintained 84% heat retention at 1,665 lux.
Alla Lighting continued to impress me as the test continued. Its marketing does not state these bulbs have a ‘perfect beam pattern’ (like others claim), but the H11B LED bulbs did! There were no visible dark spots or shadows.
The 6,000 Kelvin whiteness stood out, and I liked the light blue tint on top of the white; the objects in front of me were sharper than with the stock bulbs.
The only slight negative is that I didn’t get as much downroad lighting as with other bulbs, but still twice that of the stock halogens.
I observed 27.2 watts after 27 minutes, pretty close to the 30 watts advertised.
The cooling system works! After 27 minutes, the temperature of the main unit was only 135°F, and the driver was 122°F.
What Other Drivers Are Saying
Customers of the Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs rated them overall at 4.4/5.
Drivers loved the easy installation and that they’re true plug-and-play. The fact that they’re bright and white makes up the rest of the positive comments.
Some customers mentioned that they don’t fit all makes and models, which is standard for any headlight bulb. Always check the user guide before making a purchase.
Summing It Up
The Alla Lighting H11B LED headlight bulbs are my pick for best overall. They’re bright, allow objects to be seen more clearly, and last a long time as the heat retention is well-managed.
Pros
- Plug and play
- 10,000 lumens/set

- +200% brighter than halogens
- Perfect beam pattern
- Best overall H11B LEDs

VehiCode H11B LED Headlight Bulbs
BEST BUDGET

Best Budget
For those on a budget, the VehiCode H11B LED Headlight bulbs at less than $20 a set are an excellent option.
Advertised Specifications
The VehiCode H11B LED headlight bulbs are advertised at 7,200 lumens a set, with a claim that they’re super bright, but no specific percentage improvement on stock bulbs.
Each bulb contains 2 SMD-1860 LED chips specially designed to deliver a more focused and wider beam. VehiCode claims they have a 90% beam accuracy. My tests showed something different.
Like the Alla Lighting H11B LEDs, these are also 6,000K white, and I immediately noticed the improvement in clarity over the stock halogens.
These are an all-in-one unit with a built-in driver, and VehiCode is very upfront that they’re not CAN bus ready, and you’ll need a decoder. They’re right; I needed one to eliminate a dashboard error in my Hyundai.
There’s little information about the fan except to say it exists, but with only 40 watts per set of power being drawn, they may not produce much heat.
VehiCode claims these will last 30,000 hours. I was unable to find any warranty information or IP rating.
However, I took these out in a thunderstorm, and they didn’t get affected.
My Observations
Inside the box is an instruction manual and the bulbs. As they’re all-in-one units, I didn’t expect anything more.
I like the silver and black finish; it makes them stand out from other bulbs. However, the material doesn’t feel as robust as the Alla Lighting ones, but what I’d expect for under $20.
These are tiny; they’re only 3 inches from top to bottom. What I love about that is that they’re so easy to install; they popped right in.
Another thing I like is the blue color of the adjustable collar, it’s not a commonly used color, so it adds some variety.
For what I paid, I think these are decent-enough bulbs. But how did they perform?
My Tests
Surprisingly from a brightness point of view, they did better than Alla’s H11B bulbs.
The initial rating in the projector test was 1,001 lux, so that’s 150% brighter than stock bulbs.
The VehiCode H11B LED bulbs have excellent heat retention too. After 27 minutes, they were only 1% lower than the Alla Lighting H11Bs at 83%, 832 lux.
For the reflector test, they came in lower than the Alla Lighting ones at 1,870 lux, but that’s still 200% over stock halogens, and after 27 minutes, they dipped to 1,554 lux, maintaining 83%.
I was keen to see if the 90% beam pattern claim was correct, and it wasn’t. I noticed quite a high cutoff and a low hotspot, with quite a bit of scattering at the top and bottom left.
What was impressive was that the usual weak spot wasn’t as prominent as other bulbs. Another thing these share with the Alla Lighting H11Bs.
After 27 minutes, I observed 19.1 watts, very close to the 20 advertised. I love it when specs match actual results.
The main unit’s temperature clocked in at only 117°F, so whatever the fan is, it works.
What Other Drivers Are Saying
The VehiCode H11B LED headlight bulbs don’t have many reviews yet but currently stand at 4.3/5.
Customers confirmed that they are twice as bright as stock bulbs, are easy to install, and are excellent value for money.
Some mentioned the CAN bus errors as expected, but VehiCode has been upfront about this occurrence.
Summing It Up
For under $20 a set, the VehiCode H11B LED headlight bulbs are an excellent upgrade to stock halogens.
Pros
- Plug and play
- 7,200 lumens/set
- 6,000K Cool White
- Best budget H11B LEDs
- 30,000-hour lifespan
- 60W per set
- Built-in driver – not CAN bus ready
- Built-in cooling fan
NAOEVO H11B LED Headlight Bulbs
OVERALL BRIGHTEST

Brightest H11B LEDs
To get really bright H11B LEDs, you need the NAOEVO H11s with an H11B extension.
Advertised Specifications
NAOEVO advertises its H11B LED headlight bulbs at 6,400 lumens per set, claiming they’re super bright and 300% brighter than stock halogens. My tests confirmed this is correct.
Each bulb has a COB chip that’s 360° adjustable, which helped me to aim them correctly.
The Kelvin color is slightly cooler than Alla Lighting and VehiCode at 6,500K. Even that extra touch of clarity made all the difference.
These reminded me of the Alla Lighting H11Bs as they’re made with the same aviation grade 6063 aluminum profile. The only difference is that these are all-in-one with a built-in driver.
The bulbs have a built-in 9,000 RPM cooling turbofan and draw 60 watts of power per set.
NAOEVO claims these will last 50,000 hours; once again, I couldn’t find any warranty information.
The NAOEVO H11B LED headlight bulbs are waterproof rated at IP68 — the highest level — and I felt very confident when I took these for a spin in the rain.
My Observations
I like the look of these bulbs. They’re all black with a red collar and another touch of red at the tip.
They’re made from high-quality materials and felt sturdy in my hands.
The added touch of the NAOEVO name embossed on the base is neat.
The difference between the NAOEVO H11B LED bulbs and the Alla Lighting and the VehiCode H11Bs is that these are actually H11 bulbs with an H11B extension cable.
Where this might be a challenge is in vehicles with a small light fitting, as there’s extra bulk due to the extension cable.
My Tests
The NAOEVO H11B LED bulbs are the brightest of the three.
The initial rating in the projector test was 1,303 lux. That’s almost double stock halogens.
These bulbs had the best heat retention of the three at 88% after 27 minutes, 1,147 lux.
The initial rating in the projector test was an impressive 3,020 lux, which confirms the 300% brighter claim by NAOEVO. I like this a lot. And the heat retention maintained 88% at 2,658 lux.
With the beam pattern, it was pretty good, had a high cutoff, and the familiar weak spot was pronounced. There was also some slight scattering at the bottom left.
The bonus was that I could see wide and far, and objects were very clear in front of me, even when I was out in the rain.
I observed 26.7 watts which is close enough to the 30 advertised to be acceptable,
What surprised me, though, was that despite the heat retention, the unit got quite hot at 187°F.
What Other Drivers Are Saying
Over 2,000 drivers have rated the NAOEVO H11B LED headlight bulbs at 4.4/5 stars.
The consensus is that they deliver excellent brightness and much clearer visibility over stock bulbs.
Some customers had CAN bus flickering issues, but I didn’t have that problem with the Hyundai.
Summing It Up
To get the brightest low-beam headlights, choose the NAOEVO H11B LED headlight bulbs. They live up to the advertised claims.
Pros
- Plug and play
- 6,400 lumens/set

- 50,000-hour lifespan
- 60W per set
- All-in-one unit with built-in driver
