Marsauto 578 Extremely Bright LED Bulbs

Overall Brightest

Marsauto goes the ‘more is more’ route with this impressive 578 bulb. It has the brightest light output, coolest look, and the best longevity of any bulb in this category.

Marsauto’s 578 LED bulb comes in at a very healthy 400 lumens of brightness. It uses the best 2835 SMD chips and 1.4 watts of power per LED bulb.

Marsauto bulb is more than just numbers on a spec sheet. It impressed us with the real world performance it delivers, providing enhanced illumination and tonnes of utility.

Another spec sheet number that speaks for itself is the 6500k colour profile of this bulb. And we can report that it is just as cool in person. The beam is crisp and brilliant. The colour makes everything in the bulb’s vicinity that much easier to see.

This bulb backs up its high performance with a useful feature set that is sure to please. CANbus ready design eliminates any errors or stereo distortion. Non polarity design makes installation simple and quick. The IC drivers intelligently regulate power to avoid any internal damage.

As for the build, drivers will appreciate the aluminium chassis which effortlessly manages heat and increases durability. Overall, the combination of efficient power consumption and high durability helps the Marsauto add another enviable number to its spec sheet in the form of a 50,000 hour lifespan.

Serundo Auto 578 Led Bulbs

Brightest Budget

For the price, Serundo Auto’s 578 LED bulb checks a lot of boxes. It is bright enough to hang with the best of the best, has an appealing white colour profile, and lasts longer than the longest lasting stock bulb, all for a price that goes easy on the wallet.

We did not expect to find such a bright and powerful bulb at this price point, but the Serundo bulb surprised us with its 400 lumen brightness rating.

The beam is nice and uniform, with no flickering or flashing, even after extended use. Moreover, interior visibility benefits greatly thanks to the enhanced clarity and high def calibration of this bulb.

Another cool feature of this LED is its colour profile. At 6000k, it is cool white and helps you see the interior of the car more clearly. And while we would have liked to see a 6500k ultra pure white rating here, the 6000k still makes everything inside your car stand out.

The efficiency of this bulb is also worthy of praise. It consumes less power than other bulbs with similar performance and the intelligent IC driver keeps everything running smoothly. A high precision fibreglass circuit board is a nice addition and adds to the durability of this already high quality bulb.

Lifespan is rated for around 50,000 hours, although we have concluded from first hand testing and driver reports that the real number is probably closer to 40,000 hours, especially if you plan to use these for extended periods. However, that is still more than enough for even the heaviest of use cases.

Pros
  • 400 lumens
  • 6000k colour profile
  • 40,000 hour lifespan
  • Enhanced visibility
  • Clear and focused beam
  • Better power consumption than stock

  • Efficient heat diffusion
  • IC driver for best in class performance
  • Budget friendly price
Cons
  • 6500k colour profile would have been preferred

Yorkim 578 LED Bulbs

Premium Choice

Yorkim’s 578 LED bulb combines bright and vibrant light output with a cooler colour profile and better longevity than other bulbs. While it is priced a bit higher, it is definitely worth the extra couple bucks.

Brightness for this bulb is rated at a modest 300 lumens, but we found that in practice, the number is closer to 450 lumens. In fact, when viewed side by side, these bulbs appear almost twice as bright as the other bulbs on this list. That is thanks to the crystal clear beam and exceptional calibration of this LED.

Moreover, the 6500k colour profile just adds to the look and is also functional in that it gives you a better view. The wider angle of projection allows the beam to reach even further and illuminate every nook and cranny of your car’s interior.

We did not encounter any CANbus errors with this bulb setup, and flickering/flashing of the bulb is not a concern. An IC driver is featured here as well, eliminating any power spikes or other such problems.

We did notice that the bulbs caused the slightest distortion with our radio but that was quickie fixed with the addition of a load resistor.

Overall, this is one of our favourite 578 LED bulbs and is the perfect choice for anyone looking to upgrade their stock setup.
