Antline 1156 LED Bulbs

Overall Best

Antline makes one of the best 1156 LED bulbs we’ve seen. These bulbs offer enhanced brightness, a more pleasing lock, and exceptional lifespan.

If you’re looking to upgrade the look of your bulbs, while also adding visibility and safety to your vehicle, the Antline LEDs deliver just that. These LED tail light bulbs are made using the latest SMD chips which generate brighter light output and more visible lighting than stock bulbs.

For a bulb that uses over 50 LEDs, these bulbs are surprisingly power efficient. In fact, we noticed that they draw less power than stock bulbs and we did not have to put up with any overheating issues or compromised performance with extended use. One slight nitpick is that these bulbs tend to flicker sometimes, but that was easily fixed with an additional load resistor.

Besides tail lights, these 1156 LEDs can also be used in other applications. That is thanks in part to their bright white colour which allows them to be used as reversing lights, marker LEDs, and even turn signals.

Finally, Antline offers a one year warranty on these LEDs that covers any manufacturing defects so you won’t have to put up with any faulty equipment.

Pros
  • 300% brighter than stock
  • Cool white colour
  • More easily visible for other drivers
  • Aids safety in lower visibility conditions
  • Consume less power than stock
  • Latest SMD chips used
  • 360 degree illumination
  • Can be used as reversing lights and turn signals
  • One year manufacturer warranty
Cons
  • May require additional load resistor installation

Alopee Super Bright White Bulbs

Best Budget

In the budget category, Alopee’s 1156 LED bulb delivers the brightest, most well calibrated beam that boosts visibility, while also outlasting more premium options thanks to the durable build and efficient power consumption.

Alopee’s bulbs deliver an unprecedented 700 lumens of brightness, one of the highest we’ve seen. Even in more well lit environments, these bulbs are highly visible as turn signals, reversing lights, etc.

A colour profile of 6500k makes these bulbs appear more premium than their price might suggest. The beam pierces through rain and fog, helping other drivers see your vehicle moe clearly and easily.

A built in load resistor and IC driver ensure optimal performance and efficient power consumption. An aluminium build facilitates faster heat dissipation, safeguarding sensitive components from harm. The use of SMD chips means you get the most light output for each unit of power consumed.

All of that results in a longer lasting bulb that is rated for 30,000 hours of usage and does not suffer from overheating in even the most demanding use cases.

Finally, you will be happy to know that we did not experience any flickering or unnecessary flashing with these bulbs installed. Moreover, the beam was precise and focused, without any dim spots or blurriness.

Pros
  • Brightest and most powerful light in this category
  • 700 lumen light output
  • Durable construction that uses aluminium
  • More easily noticeable than stock bulbs
  • 6500k colour profile
  • Visually appealing design
  • Efficient heat dissipation
  • Built in IC driver
  • Best in class lifespan
  • 30,000 hour lifespan

LUYED Extremely Bright 1156 LED Bulbs

Premium Choice

One of the highest performing 1156 bulbs we’ve seen, Luyed’s 1156 LEDs are brighter and more visible than stock, while also delivering more efficient power consumption and extended lifespan.

Coming in at a brightness of 1700 lumens, these LED bulbs are certainly one of the brightest we’ve seen. The difference between these and stock bulbs in terms of visibility is night and day. With these bulbs installed, the tail lights are far easier to notice, and from further away. Stock bulbs just cannot keep up with these LEDs.

The installation was just a bit trickier than some other bulbs, but nothing too arduous. We did have to install an additional load resistor to eliminate flashing but overall it was a sub 20 minute job.

Another noticeable improvement with these bulbs in terms of the lifespan. We only got to test these bulbs for a few days but long-term drivers report that these bulbs last significantly longer than the stock alternative. Rated for 50,000 hours of use, these bulbs are built to last.

Among 1156 bulbs, few after such precise calibration and the 6500k colour profile is nice to see here. Finally, a built-in intelligent IC driver ensures optimal running temperatures and the aviation grade aluminium build makes the bulb that much more durable.

Pros
  • 1700 lumens
  • More visible than stock
  • 6500k colour temperature
  • Visible from farther away
  • 50,000 hour lifespan
  • Aviation grade aluminium chassis
  • More noticeable than stock in low visibility conditions
  • Power consumption is lower
Cons
  • Installation takes a bit longer than other bulbs
